It is possible provide the user of a Capsule the ability to add new members to an entity. For example in a budgeting application the user may need to create new customers or in a financial planning application create new accounts or new cost centers. This functionality can be achieved using the DataView object:
add a DataView object on the Capsule screen and open the Layout definition,
set the in the rows of the Layout (By Row axis) the entity which the user should add members to,
set the data blocks of the Layout as desired. Note that the Layout must contain at least one block with data-entry enabled,
go to the format tab of the ribbon bar and click the icon Insert New Members then execute the Layout
To insert a new entity member, click the Insert New row icon which automatically appears as shown in the following illustration,
a pop-up window prompts the user to key-in
the code and description of the new member
and to assign all parent members if the entity is part of a hierarchy.
click the Submit button to save the new entity member.
