Current Section is thought for Developers of Advanced Business Users who need to Customize existing Screen or to Create additional ones.
Designing a Screen, thankful to the Board Visual Programming Free approach is quite easy : Nevertheless the Complexity of the Model Logics needs to take under consideration the following criteria.
Select Criteria
| Dimension | Reporting Screen | Data Entry Screen |
| Month | Dynamic Screen Select based on [F Open - Archived] and by Page (No All) | Dynamic
Screen Select based on [F Open - Closed] or
Dynamic Screen Select based on [F Load Data (Y/N)] |
| Scenario | Dynamic Screen Select based on [F Open - Archived] and by Page (No All) | Dynamic
Screen Select based on [F Open - Closed] or
Dynamic Screen Select based on [F Load Data (Y/N)] |
| Reporting Unit | None | None |
| Intercompany | None | On some ad-hoc Screens the TP Option might be excluded (and vice-versa) |
| Account | None , On some Screen a Select on Statement or Account Category might help | None,
on some ad-hoc Screens you might like to :
> Select IC Account Only (Dynamic Screen Select based on [S I/C Strictly and Others]) > Movement Account Only (Dynamic Screen Select based on S Movement Accounts (Y/N)]) ... |
| Movement | On
P&L Reports only the
CLO Movement must be selected
On Balance Sheet Reports you can : > Exclude the CLO Movement (recommended) > Select the CLO Movement only For Specific Reports that include only some Accounts Categories you can narrow the List of meaningful Movs using a Select based on [S Matrix Mov - Mov Group (Acc)] |
None, it might be anyway restrict the list of Movs for a better ergonomics using a Select based on [F Calculated Movement (Y/N)] |
| Investment Cost | none, but on Specific Report as Investment Report | none, but the most of Balances have the Not Applicable Investment Cost Item ; it might e useful to have a Select on such Item. |
| Custom 1 | none | none, but if it is not used; it might e useful to have a Select on Not Available Item. |
| Custom 2 | none | none, but if it is not used; it might e useful to have a Select on Not Available Item. |
| Layer | none | only
L01 is admitted on Local Reporting
only L02-L04-L07-L12 on Manual Adjustment |
| Consolidation Node | by Page (No All) | only
99 is admitted on L01 (Local Reporting) and L02 (Manual
Adjustment)
99 must be excluded on L04-L07-L12 (Manual Adjustment) |
Data Entry Criteria
| Dimension | Data Entry Screen |
| Month | Dynamic Screen Select based on [F Open - Closed] (1) |
| Scenario | Dynamic Screen Select based on [F Open - Closed] (1) |
| Reporting Unit | None |
| Intercompany | Lock
with :
- in combination with Account [S Account - IC for Manual Adjs] - To avoid that RU may post on itself Lock with [W Matrix RU-ICP] |
| Account | Lock
with :
- [F Leaf (Y/N)] - [F Input Value (Y/N)] |
| Movement | Lock
with :
- [F Calculated Movement (Y/N)] - in combination with Account [S Matrix Mov - Acc] |
| Investment Cost | Lock
with :
- in combination with Account [S Matrix Investment Cos t- Acc] |
| Custom 1 | Lock
with :
- in combination with Account [S Matrix Custom 1- Acc] |
| Custom 2 | Lock
with :
- in combination with Account [S Matrix Custom 2 -Acc] |
| Layer | Select
:
only L01 is admitted on Local Reporting only L02-L04-L07-L12 on Manual Adjustment |
| Consolidation Node | Select
:
only 99 is admitted on L01 (Local Reporting) and L02 (Manual Adjustment) 99 must be excluded on L04-L07-L12 (Manual Adjustment) |
(1) By
default in the existing Data Entry Forms there is no Lock based on the
Scenario Management neither on the Audit Trail. The [F (Open - Closed)
Periods x Scenario] Cube affects only the Selection of the Screen not
the Layout lock. This decision has been taken to keep the Layout as simple
as possible giving the flexibility to the developer to add more restrictive
conditions. It si also clear that this approach is weak since the User
can change the Screen Selection.
How to Link the Lock to the Scenario Management :
> remove the Possibility to Change the Screen Selection (Deny Select Screen Property)
> include the [F (Open - Closed) Periods x Scenario] Cube as Locking block in the Layouts. On very complex Layout it could be necessary to "propagate" it on additional dimensions like Reporting Units.
How to Link the Lock to the Audit Trail
> include the [Global Process To-Do List] or the [Local Process To-Do List] Cube as Locking block in the Layouts.
