Consolidation Node Editor

Use the Insert New member function to create new Consolidation Nodes. When you create a new Consolidation Node you must attribute the Consolidation Node Currency . Node Currencies must be previously defined in the Currency Editing step.

Attention! in the template the Consolidation Node Dimension is not empty but it has the Default Conso node item (99). Do not delete it.

image39.jpgThere are no limitation on the choice of Consolidation Node codes and descriptions, BUT the Consolidation Node members codes MUST be different from any existing LE member codes. This because any Consolidation Node may potentially become a LE in a staged model.

image42.jpgIf you have to consolidate the same node in two different currency you must create two distinct nodes with the same scope.

Staged Model

Within a staged model a n-level Node is a RU of a (n-1)-level Node.

Then to run the whole Conso process properly, you have to first consolidate the n-level nodes, then the (n-1)-level nodes, etc etc up to the (n=1) level.

Flat Model

Within a flat model all the Conso Nodes are disjointed. The Consolidation Sequence is one (01) for all of them, and all the conso nodes are being consolidated in the same step.

By Default the Application supports Flat Model approach.

The Application includes a Flattening engine that from staged ownership percentages calculate the flatten ownership percentage. Please see related section at Set Consolidation Scope
