Accounts Grouping and Categories

The Accounts can be grouped through given Relationships with pre-defined Item.

 

> Account Category : this Dimension facilitates the Slicing and Dicing of the Chart of Account. It has no impact on the Consolidation Process or Forms Ergonomics. The Account Category is then Grouped in Statements.

It is possible to rename, delete or create its items.

 

> Movement Group Account : this Dimension bridges the Accounts with the available Movements. Please refer to the Movement Section. It influences the ergonomics of the Data Entry Forms and through its Parent (Movement Group Total) drives the Consolidation Procedure.

It is possible to rename, delete or create its items. All items must be then related to its Parent.

A Configuration Matrix (S Matrix Mov - Mov Group (Acc)) by Movement Group Account and Movement identifies per each Account Group which are the meaningful Movement. This Matrix is then used as Select based On info-cube to Select the proper movements during the Manual Data Entry Collection phase or the Adjustment creation.

 

> Investment Cost Group Account : this Dimension identifies those Accounts that require an additional break down level, that is the Investment Cost detail (eg Net Equity Accounts), and it plays a crucial role during the Consolidation Procedure - Net Equity Elimination

Its items can't be deleted or created.

 

> Custom 1 Group Account and Custom 2 Group Account this Dimension bridges the Accounts with the available Custom1-2 Items. It should be used to facilitate the selection of Custom 1-2 items depending on the nature of the Account (eg only Revenue P&L Accounts have Customer details (Customer are item of the Custom 1 dimension).

It is possible to rename, delete or create its items.

> IC Reconciliation Group Account : this Dimension groups IC Accounts to facilitate the reporting upon the IC Reconciliation Matter. It is not mandatory and it doesn't influence the Consolidation Process. Please refer to the Reporting Section for additional information.

As you can see you can not Edit it  since this attributes is automatically calculated when clicking the Confirm Button .

 

> Reporting Account : this Grouping Criteria is provided for Reporting Purposes only  and it doesn't influence the Consolidation Process at all. For additional details please refer to the Reporting Library Section.

 

 

When completed Click on the "Confirm" Button.

A Red Alert identifies those Accounts with missing relationships.
